We also use a special machine, called a Wound VAC, to help close slow healing wounds. We have close relationships with specially trained vascular interventionalists who can now open vessels from tiny incisions and then help keep these vessels open with special stents. As diabetic foot specialists, Greater Washington Area Podiatry deals with these new technologies on a regular basis.
